I love them both equally and i need each one for it`s distinctive sound.
The problem was that they both run at 220 Volts, and in order to run them in 110 volts i had to use an external transformer — made in China that was never to be trusted.
I called Rudy`s, the go to place for musicians
and i spoked with Lucas,
who told me they could install transformers in both amps, and that`s what i decided to do.
I now have my Boogie fixed and i am soon taking my Fender there too.
Lucas has been great help all the way.
I spent time with him trying out different amps and guitars, and his knowledge and expertise
is one of a kind, plus he is the sweetest guy you`d ever hope to find, who can give you tons of good advice
that will deeply satisfy your search for the elusive good tone.
As a matter of fact all of the people who work at the amp and repair shop at Rudy`s,
are real pros, and this has become my absolute favorite place in
Manhattan, where i can get the best advice,
and find all i need to satisfy my endless search for the holy grail of Good Tone.
