Ivan (Funkboy) Bodely.
Mr.Ivan Bodley.

Last Sunday i saw my first baseball game!
The Mets vs. the Atlanta Braves at the new
Citi Field stadium.

It was a gorgeous day, and although a boring game 3-0, i enjoyed watching,
while sipping on ice cold beer,
(you have to show your i.d. for to get one, what`s that about?)
and eating junk food.

Monday night at the Grisly Pear where the blues is alive and well.

Tuesday night at Banjo Jim`s where
Brad Vickers & his Vestapolitans
had their new cd release party and everybody was there,
enjoying the fine performances, eating free slices of pizza dancing and singing
and grooving to the songs from the new album.

Thursday night at P&G where my friend and bass player
Ivan “Funkboy” Bodley was grooving with his soul group
Cracked Ice with some amazing musicians onboard.

Saturday night Kathleen and i went to see our friend`s Jean-Daniel Noland`s play
“I couldn`t write a country song to tell you how i feel so i wrote a play instead”
at the Theater for the new city.

Afterwards we ate dinner at our favorite Ukrainian reastaurant
Veselka`s and spent some time at
Saint Mark`s Bookshop another legendary place.

At Lucille`s.

Me and my Blade.

Last Sunday in June and first Sunday in July i was playing at my favorite room in the heart of the city,
at the world famous BBKING`s.

With temperatures reaching 100 F=40 celcious ,the well air conditioned room
in the middle of Times Square was a music oasis
for people from around the globe, and both nights were a big success.

I sold many cds and did two great shows oh Yeah!

Monday nights at the Grisly Pear have become
the new must go to attend one of the best jams in the city hosted by
“Big” Ed Sullivan.

I was there two weeks ago and i am going be there tonight.

I guess that Arthur Neilson
will be hosting the jam tonight since “Big” Ed is playing somewhere in France.
